Imo Guber: I Know Those Who Can Not Be Imo Governor In 2028

Chief MacDonald Enwere…

As the year 2028 is beginning to wear the apron of approximated propinquity, thereby rail-roading some gladiators into the cruise-lane of titanic power tussle and hot pot of battle-royale, some political strikers are beginning to step up some underlining manoeuvres to stay ahead of others. The political atmosphere is gradually gathering storms as some strategic imperatives, political permutations, and undercurrents are silently playing out.

Unfortunately, some people have continued to embark on a self- delusional fantasy and conjectural mishap, alluding to the figment of their disjointed imagination, that they will become the next governor of the state come 2028. Such thinking is tantamount to self-deciet and supernatural ignorance. To me, it is an early morning political risk and a self-suicidal adventure to assume who occupies the executive london-made leather seat in Douglas house. As a Christian of the pentecostal denomination, I believe that it is only God who knows what tomorrow holds for us. He knows the beginning, even before the beginning began.
Though, the Imo State governorship election is shaping up to be a highly contested and dramatic affair. As the year 2027/28 is approaching, many political jostlers are already jostling for the position, engaging in subtle manoeuvres and power play. The atmosphere is already dazzling with strategic imperatives, permutational dices, and influential colouration.

The basic truth that is already settled in my subconsciousness is that, no matter any ostentatious manoeuvre , tactical schemings, and shenaniganian alluding, only one person will be the Governor of Imo in 2028. It doesn’t matter the cynical noise and decorated body language posturing, What matters is whom God has already positioned to drive the political leadership of the state for the next four years, that we may not know. But one thing I know, which I’m sure of, is those who will not be the governor of Imo state come 2028. I may not know who the next governor of the state will be, but what I know is those who will not be the Imo Governor come 2028. This is not a phenomenal assumption, prediction, or supposition but a posteriori derived from empirical proposition of certainty.

Governance is not a luxuriant artistry or exuberant foilage but a serious business of problem-solving, which requires effective application of knowledge and skills in identifying challenges that bedevil human prosperity and sustainable progress. This should be the standard preoccupation and predisposition of anyone who is thinking of occupying the Douglas house.

In Imo today, we know outstanding and visionary leaders who have all it take to galvanise the furtunes of the state and turn them into positive realities for social prosperity and sustainable development. These are leaders of means and instincts with ingenuous efulgence and proof of enormous preparation, character, and unwavering formidability in administrative modus. Yes, I know them.

As we draw closer to the year 2027/28, focus should be emphasized only on leaders who have the ability of building a clearcut capacity and utopian understanding of the nexus and complexities of social problems and the process of solving them. Not those whose predetermined motive is to build a conclave of emasculation around them and their cronies. Such people will trap the future of the state in the debris of hopelessness and psychopathy .
We know them. Such people can not be the awaited Messiah. We know those who can not be Imo Governor in 2027. Very soon, they will begin their Ostrich game with platitudinous rhetorics of habitual mendacity in a moonlight visage. They are coming, we know them, ɓùt we don’t care. From Owerri zone, we know them. Orlu and Okigwe, we know them.
Imo state can not be driven by obsolete engine of moribund leadership.
Rather, with leaders of conscience, the future will discover our best potential and offer salvation to our trapped system.

The future of the state can only give birth to better visions, ideas, and excellent deliveries with leaders of selfless mind . With men of goodwill, the future of the state will engender the pursuit of what ought to be, the alliance of better and fresher ideas against the current norms of accelerating backwards with shame.
I know those who can not be Imo Governor in 2028. CHIKINA! Yes, I know them . They are those who can not take risk and sacrifice for the state selflessly. Rather, those whose grand interest is to loot the state dry and are ever ready to subjugate and subject the people to untold hardship.

In this era of globalization and rapid flow of ideas, Imo State needs leaders with selfless spirit, leaders with exponentially profound ideas of unparalleled distinction, leaders with courage and defining modus for leadership excellence and good governance. Not political marauders who have launched a striking target on Imo treasury.

In the USA, Abraham Lincoln stood out because of his sacrificial leadership and leading roles during the 1861-1865 American Civil War, which led to the preservation of the union, institutionalization of democratic concept and abolition of slavery. Lincoln left an enduring legacy being upheld today in the US as a good model of democracy and good governance. America did not become a great nation overnight or by accident. Rather, she was nurtured into greatness by the sacrificial roles of her leaders.

What about Russia?. Before 1917, Russia could not manufacture a bicycle, but today, Russia is competing favourably with the USA for the first position as the most powerful and developed country of the world. This is attributable to the sacrificial role of Lenin and Stalin. Without Lenin, the great Bolshevik revolution of 1917, which transformed Russia into a superpower, would not have come to fruition.

In my next edition, I shall boldly mention names of those who can not make it as Imo Governor in 2028. Unless there is a supernatural turnaround. It is not an assumption but an empirical proposition under supernatural guidance. See you in the next edition.
