IMO APC DISMISSES SPECULATIONS, REAFFIRMS NDUBUEZE AS IMO NORTH STANDARD BEARER

The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has firmly dismissed renewed speculations surrounding the party’s Imo North Senatorial ticket, declaring that the nomination of Distinguished Senator Patrick Chiwuba Ndubueze is valid, settled, and no longer subject to dispute.

In a press statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Dr. Onwuasoanya FCC Jones, the party stated that the nomination process for all legislative positions in Imo State had been successfully concluded through peaceful primary elections, with the outcomes duly ratified by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC.

According to the party, the names and credentials of all its duly nominated candidates, including Senator Patrick Ndubueze, have already been transmitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and uploaded on the commission’s official portal in accordance with electoral requirements.

The APC maintained that Senator Patrick Ndubueze remains the authentic and officially recognised candidate of the party for the Imo North Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing reports suggesting possible legal disputes over the ticket, the party clarified that it has no knowledge of any pending litigation or petition challenging Senator Ndubueze’s emergence as its candidate.

The statement further described the senator as a qualified, experienced and widely accepted political figure, expressing confidence in his capacity to lead the party to victory in the forthcoming election.

The APC also called on all party stakeholders, particularly aspirants who participated in the recently concluded primary election, to put the contest behind them and unite behind Senator Ndubueze in the collective interest of the party.

Reaffirming its commitment to internal cohesion and electoral success, the party expressed appreciation to its members across the state for their steadfast loyalty and continued support, while urging them to remain focused on delivering victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
