The Ideato South Renewed Hope Ambassadors officially launched its operations with a grand inauguration ceremony, where its ward coordinators were sworn in at the council headquarters in Dikenafai on March 17, 2026. The event was preceded by the commissioning of the administrative office of Ideato South Local Government Renewed Hope Ambassadors by the team of Renewed Hope Ambassadors local governments coordinators from other local governments, led by the State Coordinator, Rt. Hon. Goodluck Nana Opiah, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s journey.
The occasion was graced by a host of notable leaders from Ideato South, including Hon. Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, who delivered a stirring address. Her speech, which captivated the audience, delved into the essence of “Renewed Hope,” tracing the journey of those who stood by Senator Hope Uzodimma from the outset.
Hon. Ugwu recounted the struggles and challenges faced by early supporters, who remained unwavering despite facing damaging mockery and criticism. Drawing from this experience, she defined Renewed Hope Ambassadors as champions of good governance, tasked with promoting the ideals of Governor Hope Uzodimma and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with conviction and determination. She pointed out clearly that political support does not include jumping around but staying consistent, sincere and true to a belief and an ideology even when the odds look unfavorable.

She emphasized that hope is a fundamental prerequisite for renewal, stressing that “it is only those ‘who are with hope that will get their hopes renewed.” Hon. Ugwu urged the Ideato South leadership of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to serve as catalysts for unity, working in tandem with party leadership and stakeholders to secure APC’s victory in 2027.
The inauguration ceremony was a resounding success, with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors poised to drive positive change and promote the party’s agenda in Ideato South, Imo State, and Nigeria at large.
