By Duru Stanley

Commendations and encomiums have continued to pour in from well meaning Imolites and Nigerians at large to the Honourable Member representing Ideato North/South Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere over his Insistence that real time electronic result transmission of election results to be enshrined in the electoral laws.

Our correapondent who monitored both the social and mainstream media observed that people who were in support of the electoral reforms commended the outspoken legislator describing him as a true representative of the people.

The commentators upheld that since the current 10th National Assembly, the Ideato Nation representative has continued to stand out on critical national issues and has not hidden his passion for a better Nigeria through his motions and bills not forgetting his regular speaking truth to power.

Another of our correspondent who monitored various Whatsapp platforms associated with Ideato North/South and Imo State informed that the number of people poured out encomiums on Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere who led other Imo legislators namely, Hon. Chinedu Emeka of Ahiazu/Ezinifite Mbaise Federal Constituency and Hon. Mathew Nwaogu of Ngor Okpala/Aboh Mbaise Federal Constituency to vote in support of the real time electronic result transmission have made the people of Imo proud and proved that they were truly people’s representatives.

In the same vain, the people of the state expressed disappointment on other lawmakers from other Federal Constituencies in Imo State who voted against the electoral reforms and tagged them enemies of transparent election.

Amongst those who voted against the electoral reforms were, Hon. Cannice More (Orlu Federal Constituency), Hon.Eugene Dibiagwu (Oguta Ohaji Oru West Federal Constituency) and Hon. Tochi Okere (Owerri Federal Constituency)

Others include, Hon. Harrison Nwadike Njaba, Isu, Nkwerre, Nwangele Federal Constituency, Hon.Chike Okarfor (Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma, Obowo Federal Constituency, Hon. Miriam Onuoha (Okigwe, Isiala Mbano, Onuimo  Federal Constituency) and Hon. Akarachi Amadi
