In a peaceful and organised atmosphere, the African Democratic Congress(ADC) Ideato South Chapter has sworn in a new ward executive members of the party in the local government area.
Addressing the newly sworn in officials, the ADC Local Government Chairman Hon. Barr. Chris Ogbu charged the new executive members to work harder, transparent and responsible for the progress of the party.
“You must lead by example and exhibit high sense of responsibility, transparency and justice in dealing with members of the party and general public.”
He advised them to work towards uniting members especially the aggrieved, without any discrimination warning that any member found wanting by misusing his or her position, would be sanctioned in line with the relevant sections of the constitution of the party.
He further emphasised that the party would not impose any candidate(s) in the local government that, only popular and honest candidates who have the people at heart will be elected to represent the party at all levels.
The local government Secretary of the party Hon. Mrs Philomena Okwarachukwu called on the members to shun any form of factionalisation to enable the party achieve victory come 2027.
A prominent leader and lawyer Barr. Godwin Ogbu administered the oath of allegiance on the new ward executive members amidst atmosphere of conviviality.
The highpoint of the event was the handing over of the party register to the Ward Chairmen.

The swearing in ceremony also recorded the presence of some respectable leaders of the party viz; Chief Engr. P.U Ekezie(State Deputy Publicity Secretary), Chief Peter Igwe, Hon. Louis Egbusinwa, Mr. B.C Umeh, amongst others.
