Imo ADC Deepens Media Coordination as National Media Frontiers Visit State Secretariat

The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Imo State Chapter, held a strategic interface meeting with members of the ADC National Media Frontiers, Imo State Chapter, at the party’s State Secretariat in New Owerri, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen media coordination and enhance the party’s communication architecture.

 

The delegation of the ADC National Media Frontiers was led by the State Coordinator, Hon. Chukwuemeka Enast Onyema, who formally introduced members of the media structure and outlined the group’s mandate of promoting effective information dissemination, public engagement, and strategic media visibility for the party across the state.

 

Receiving the delegation, the Imo State Chairman of ADC, Prof. James Okoroma, commended the initiative behind the establishment of the Media Frontiers, describing it as a critical institutional mechanism for projecting the ideals, programmes, and policy direction of the party. He emphasized that a well organized media structure remains indispensable to modern political administration and grassroots mobilisation.

 

Prof. Okoroma assured the delegation of the State Executive Committee’s full cooperation, noting that the party leadership remains committed to fostering synergy between its political and media organs in order to maintain message discipline, promote factual communication, and strengthen public confidence in the party.

 

In his remarks, the State Publicity Secretary expressed strong support for the Media Frontiers initiative and pledged sustained collaboration with the group. He affirmed his readiness to work closely with the media team to ensure prompt dissemination of verified party information, coordinated publicity strategies, and consistent engagement with citizens across traditional and digital media platforms. He further stressed that effective communication would play a decisive role in consolidating the party’s expanding presence in Imo State.

 

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. Onyema reiterated the commitment of the ADC National Media Frontiers to professionalism, responsible media engagement, and proactive promotion of party activities. He assured the leadership that the group would operate within established communication standards while advancing the visibility of ADC programmes at both state and national levels.

 

Other key party leaders present at the meeting included the State Deputy Chairman, Hon. Chief Damian Ezeagu, and the State coordinator for Electoral Matters and INEC Liaison Officer, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwokeke, alongside members of the State Executive Committee and media stakeholders.
