The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated in ear terms that the current leadership of the party under the leadership of Chief Austin Onyedebelu now enjoys full support of party members even as those who were hitherto mediocers and moles have been sieved with the transparent processes.
This was contained in a press release signed by the newly elected and Inaugurated State Publicity Secretary, Onwuasoanya FCC Jones E-copy made available to Newsday Express Newspaper.
According to him, “the Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is glad to report that commendations have continued to pour in following the peaceful, transparent and inclusive; ward, LGA and State congresses and the subsequent inauguration of the duly elected officers of the Party across these levels. Members of our Party are happy and united, more than they have ever been in the history of the Party in the State”.
“Statutory stakeholders of the Party have also continued to express their satisfaction with the processes leading to the election of these officers, with special commendation going to the governor, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, whose leadership and guidance are credited with the non-acrimonious internal Party election. These statutory stakeholders include; former governors, former deputy governors, serving and past National Assembly members, serving and past presiding officers of the State Assembly among others”.
“It is however important to alert our members and the general public that we have intercepted intercepted credible intelligence that some individuals, who had, all the while, been serving as moles, have concluded plans to leave the Party, following their failure to successfully execute their contract of hurting the Party from inside, by stoking discontent within and sowing discord. Their major regret is that the Party leadership successfully resisted their plans to plant some of their housemaids as moles in the Party’s leadership structure. These individuals are encouraged to leave, as the Party would be happy to have finally got rid of them and the distractions they represent”.

The APC in Imo State remains united, indissoluble and formidable, under the efficient leadership of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, and the State Chairman, Chief Austin Onyedebelu. We also acknowledge the support and guidance of all critical stakeholders of our Party, and assure them of our utmost respect”.
“While the Party has it’s doors wide open for true Progressives to join us, we are also delighted to hear of the eventual exit of those who could be described as burdensome and embarrassing liabilities to the image and ambitions of the Party in the State, given their antecedents of poor performance, public rejection and corruption, when they held sway as public officers, under the banners of our Party. We assure them of a crushing defeat as they team up with their fellow mediocres in any platform they may assemble”.
