There said to be an awaiting keg of gunpowder expected to explode in the Imo State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over the planned consensus arrangements being promoted by the party leadership .
Newsday Express can authoritatively report that some party loyalties who are not happy with the arrangement may be forced to exit in good number if direct primaries were not conducted.
Some of the aspirants who spoke to our correspondent under the condition of anonymity, regretted the situation where only the directives of the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma were allegedly being followed without considering others.

According to one of the aspirants for the position of the Federal House of Representatives, “if direct primaries are not conducted to give the delegates the right to choose their candidates, I will exit with my supporters and ensure that whosoever that is chosen in my federal constituency did not win in the main election”
“We cannot suffer to purchase form and will not be allowed to test our popularity at the filed. Days are gone when few individuals decide the fate of others without their approval”.
Further investigation by our team revealed that aspirants were yet to obtain the forms during to the fear of the unknown while others as gathered were waiting for the endorsement of the Governor before going ahead to purchase their form for both State Assembly and Federal House of Representatives positions
