Umunri Microfinance Bank Ltd has announced the appointment of Dr. Uche Nworah, a respected media and communications professional, as its Communications Adviser.
Dr. Nworah who currently serves as the Executive Chairman of Umunna Media Limited, an Abuja-based public relations and media consulting firm will bring to bear his ingenuity in media related actives to give the financial institution the needed facelift.
Dr. Nworah is a former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS).
He has over 25 years of diverse career experience across banking, academia, telecommunications, consulting, media, and public relations.
The new role will afford him the opportunity to support the Bank’s Chairman and Board in developing and implementing strategic communication initiatives, including brand management, reputation building, and media relations.
Speaking on the appointment, the Chairman of Umunri Microfinance Bank Ltd, Chief Theodore Omalu, stated; “We are pleased to welcome Dr. Uche Nworah to our leadership team. His knowledge and experience will be instrumental as Umunri Microfinance Bank continues to expand its services and strengthen its presence in the Umunri communities of Enugwu-Ukwu, Nawfia, Nri, Enugwu-Agidi, and beyond”.
He further stated, “we are leveraging technology to broaden our reach, and Dr. Nworah’s strategic guidance will support our vision of financial inclusivity and excellent service delivery for all our customers”.
Accepting the announcement, Dr. Nworah declared that his appointment was a new down for the bank.
According to him, “this is an exciting period for Umunri Microfinance Bank Ltd. following the successful transition from the former Enugwu-Ukwu Microfinance Bank Ltd, and with all regulatory requirements now in place, the Bank is well positioned for growth. I look forward to working closely with the Chairman, the Board, staff, and stakeholders to advance the Bank’s goals and uphold the high standards it has set”.
