Nigeria’s First Lady Visits Imo, Distributes Food Items

The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu has extended her humanitarian outreach to Imo State with the donation of essential food items to vulnerable groups across the state.

Represented by the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Kashim Shettima, the First Lady reaffirmed her commitment to supporting disadvantaged households, widows, the elderly, and persons with special needs amid current economic challenges.

She was accompanied by the wife of the Imo State Governor, Her Excellency, Dr. Barr. (Mrs.) Chioma Uzodimma, who also serves as the National Secretary of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

The distribution ceremony, held in Owerri, brought together community leaders, beneficiary groups, and government representatives.

Speaking on behalf of the First Lady, Hajia Nana Shettima emphasized that the gesture reflected the First Lady’s unwavering dedication to social welfare, women empowerment, and national compassion.

Speaking during the event, wife of the Imo State Governor , Bar. Chioma Uzodimma applauded the First Lady’s consistent interventions, noting that the Renewed Hope Initiative remains committed to complementing the developmental agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, particularly in enhancing the welfare of vulnerable citizens.

Beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation for the timely support, describing it as a lifeline during a period of economic strain.
