Ezinihitte Chairman, Nwachukwu Commissions Solar-Powered Borehole In Onicha, Enhancing Community Access To Potable Water

In a significant move to improve living conditions and provide essential amenities, the Executive Chairman of Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area, Hon. Ambrose Chinedum Nwachukwu KSJI JP, officially commissioned a high-powered solar-borehole project in Eziama Onicha Nwenafor. The commissioning ceremony,  marks a crucial step in ensuring sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water for the community.

 

Addressing the jubilant residents of Eziama Onicha Nwenafor, Hon. Nwachukwu, emphasized that the project was a testament to his administration’s commitment to the well-being of its citizens. He highlighted the fundamental importance of water in human life and expressed his desire for the community to directly benefit from government initiatives. “This project is a clear demonstration of the love I have for this community and my dedication to ensuring you have access to basic amenities,” Hon. Nwachukwu stated.

 

The Chairman, also seized the opportunity to commend the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma, acknowledging the support that enables local government areas to implement impactful projects for their constituents. He urged the community to take ownership of the new facility, advising them to utilize and protect the solar-powered borehole, recognizing it as a vital government asset.

 

Hon. Nwachukwu extended his gratitude to the Supervisory Councilor for Works and the contractor for their diligent efforts in bringing the project to fruition. Speaking on behalf of the community, Hon. Ajaa Echezolachi, the Councilor representing Eziama Onicha Nwenafor in the Ezinihitte Mbaise Legislative Council, along with community elders, expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Nwachukwu for the timely provision of the water project. They underscored the critical importance of access to drinking water, describing it as “most paramount to every creature.” This new facility is expected to significantly alleviate the challenges previously faced by residents in obtaining potable water
