The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Imo State Chapter, following an emergency meeting convened by the State Chairman, Prof. James Okoroma, in the early hours of Monday, March 2, 2026, has approved decisive measures to strengthen grassroots participation in the party’s ongoing electronic membership registration exercise.
In line with the resolutions reached at the meeting, members of the State Working Committee (SWC), State Executive Committee (SEC), and key party stakeholders have been directed to immediately relocate to their respective Local Government Areas (LGAs) to coordinate intensive mobilisation for the E-registration programme.
The exercise will be conducted in collaboration with members of the MMRRC and the respective LGA Party Chairmen to ensure effective coordination and uniform implementation across all LGAs in the state.
Members of the State Working Committee will provide direct assistance to MMRRC members throughout the E-registration process, ensuring operational efficiency, transparency, and strict adherence to approved guidelines.
Additionally, members of the ADC New Media Volunteers Team have been deployed to all 27 LGAs and the 305 political wards across Imo State. Each ward has been equipped with laptops to facilitate the registration process. The volunteers are tasked with providing technical support and onsite assistance to party members to guarantee successful completion of the online registration exercise.
This directive highlights the commitment of the Imo State ADC leadership to expanding membership participation, strengthening grassroots structures, and establishing a credible, comprehensive digital membership database statewide.
The party calls on all members and stakeholders to actively participate in the exercise and support mobilisation efforts within their respective wards and LGAs.
