The Imo State Shared Prosperity Government, under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma, has quietly executed a strategic swapping of two key commissioner portfolios, a development that has so far received limited media attention.
The immediate past Commissioner for Industry, Mines, and Solid Minerals, Chief Barr. Ernest Ibejiako (NwaNdaa), has been reassigned and now serves as the Commissioner for Tourism.
Conversely, the immediate past Commissioner for Tourism, Barr. Evang. Jerry Egemba, has been redeployed to head the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Solid Minerals.
the reassigned Commissioners have settled into their new roles and are performing commendably in their respective offices.
In a related development, the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Solid Minerals, about four days ago, issued an official statement regarding the Naze–Nekede Industrial Master Plan Layout.
The ministry notified the general public that no individual or group should commence the erection of any structure within the entire designated area without prior approval from the Honourable Commissioner, Imo State Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Solid Minerals.
The statement further indicated that additional directives concerning activities within the affected zone would be communicated in due course, urging citizens to comply accordingly.
