In his renewed vigor to continue to give back to the society which has formed part of his life for over two decades, the founder of Michael Ugochukwu Nwokeiwu Foundation, a non-governmental organization, has announced his plans to extend his already existing scholarship programme to the lager Umuekebi Community.
Nwannedinamba as fondly called made this announcement while interacting with the youths of Umuekebi at his country home, Umuduruaro, Umuekebi, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State who paid him an unscheduled visit to appreciate him for his wonderful contributions towards to the community development during the week.
Emphasizing why the youths of the community should shun every form of societal ills and embrace every effort aimed at developing the community while addressing them, Dr. Nwokeiwu informed them that after considerable consultations and appraisal of his agelong scholarship to Umuduruaro village, he has resolved to extend his scholarship programme to the entire Umuekebi Community while pleading with them to make judicious use of the opportunity offered to them by his Foundation and become better citizens of the country.
The renowned Chartered Accountant and Business Adviser made it clear that the essence of offering them the scholarship was to see greater part of them and urged them to embrace the offer with every seriousness and commitment. He expressed satisfaction on the honour done to him by the number of youths who came to appreciate him for what he described as his “little contributions towards the good of the community”. He used the opportunity to assure them of his continuous efforts and contributions towards the good of the community.
Dr. Nwokeiwu further urged the youths to join hands with the current leadership of the Community and contribute their quota to the development of the community. According to him, “every support to the current Community leadership is a direct attraction of development to Umuekebi”. He assured that he will not relent in his support to te youths and the community.
Appreciating him for his wonderful works towards the good of the community, Iwuozor Uchechukwu who spoke on behalf of the youths commended Dr. Nwokeiwu whom he described as a man who is genuinely interested in helping the youths of the community and urged him not to relent in his good works. He applauded him for his agelong Umuekebi Unity Cup which has been a uniting factor in the community.
